What comes in the box?

All our orders come in gift boxes (not wrapped). They also include unicorn matches! If you'd like us to leave a special note, please write it in the "Message to seller" and we'll write it inside. 

How do I burn this thing?

We suggest burning the 9oz jars for 3-4 hours each time for maximum scent release and even wax levels. The last one we timed using this method burned for 84 hours! The 4oz jars should be burned for 1-2 hours each time. Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time before lighting. 

Are they vegan?

Yes! Our products are never tested on animals and contain NO animal products in the wax, fragrance, or wick.

Can I sell your candles in my retail shop/online store/salon? 

YES! We love to wholesale our candles. Please check out our wholesale site - you'll need to have a retail license.

Can I carry the candles on an airplane?

You can carry our candles on an airplane! But please note that TSA will probably stop your bag and want to look inside the candle. Gel candles (which ours are NOT!), are not allowed on an airplane, so they are checking to make sure it’s a solid wax candle. They might swab it too - but we’ve literally carried 48 candles on an airplane with no problem (other than our arms were gonna fall off from all that weight!).

If you want to avoid TSA, you can check them in your luggage if it’s not too hot outside. Be sure to wrap it, as the jar is glass!

You’re also allowed to carry ONE matchbook onto a plane :)

What if the scent isn't strong?

We've tested them all to be great smells for your home! There's a lot of factors that go into how a candle will burn in your house: other smells lingering in your home, how big the room is, air flow, ceiling height, and even the humidity outside! Plus every person's nose smells scents a little different. If you leave the room and walk back into it 30 seconds later, you should smell some great smells! (but never leave lit candles unattended ;) ) 

That being said, a funky candle does happen sometimes. Please email us at Lauren@theburlapbag.com if you're not fully satisfied and we'll fix the problem!

Do you ship internationally?

We do! It's usually pretty expensive since our candles are so heavy. Email us for an exact quote!
